Looking for those interested...
Hi all!
Well, I've been struggling with finding a yoga class that I like and that has a decent schedule now that I've relocated. So far, NO luck!!
I joined one group, but went and found it really wasn't for me (too meditative, not enough workout)... there just aren't a lot of options in the SE CT region for yoga. There are plenty of times if you're a stay at home mom or work odd hours...~sigh~ but that's not me.
Anyway- I found this really nice place through a friend of Kathy K's that gave me her brochure.
The studio is called Fit 4 You. It is located at 565 Long Hill Road in Groton. (very convenient on/off I95).
She too does not have a class time that I can attend, except on Saturday. BUT, she'd be willing to consider adding on a weekday class if I can get a few people interested in comitting to going...
SO- I'm asking here- IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN TAKING A YOGA CLASS in GROTON on A MON TUE OR WED at 6:30 or 7:00 for 60 minutes?
I'd like to see a class like YOGA FIT or TOTAL BODY get formed. (For more info, see their website at: fit4youllc.com) She has fees, etc listed there. It looks like they also have cardio equipment you can use before/after class.
WHAT DO YOU SAY FOLKS???
YOGA IS A GREAT WAY TO FIRM MUSCLES STRENGTHEN YOUR ENTIRE BODY, GAIN AN OVERALL SENSE OF BALANCE AND SELF(especially important during and after dramatic weightloss) AND IMPROVE FLEXIBILITY. You don't need to have any experience or be any particular age/weight to do this! It's also a great way to keep your fitness routine interesting and varied. (I can't tell you how much adding yoga to my routine helped me when my weightloss was stalled and I thought I was done.)
Anyone interested, please let me know!
Best,
Lisa C
Hi Lisa,
Here is the site for Carol Klammer who teaches Yoga locally. She spoke and demonstrated at our New London Support Group and was wonderful, you might want to give her a call or an email.

Good luck Lisa

Thanks for this thought Beth. Carol's class is actually the one I joined that I said was not really what I was looking for.
She is a lovely lady, just not teaching what I'm looking for. He class was much too relaxation oriented. I'm interested i a good workout. But,there are SO many types of yoga to practice- to each his own!
Best,
Lisa
I'm interested. Live in NL and the time would be great. I have never done Yoga though. Was going to call Blissworks and just never got around to it. What about you, Terri? Interested?
I do go to the gym and love, love love,(did you all hear me say that?) my workouts but would like to add to them. Let me know if you get enough people? Have you been to the Sat class?
