It is good to hear that there are some of us in the state of CO. I live in the Littleton area. My surgeon is Dr Husain. I will be having my surgery at St. Joes in Denver. Two of my children where in a HS marching band competition in Elizabeth about a week ago. I really like it there. I have noticed your postings on the VSG board; cute dog. We have two dogs and if my children had their way we would probably have about a dozen. Thank you for replying and let me know how you are progressing. It is nice to have people to talk to and compare notes with.

Thanks for your reply. I live in the Littleton area so Aurora is a bit of a trek for me. I would love to keep in touch though. Every person that we can talk to for support and information on this adventure is a plus. Let me know how your surgery goes and Good Luck and speedy recovery to you.

I completely agree. You can never have too much support! I would love to keep in touch with you. I am nervously approaching my 3 day liquid diet and feel a little like the person on death row trying to figure out what I want for my "last meal". However my outcome will hopefully be a good one. I did not text you beause my "awake" hours have been a little messed up lately due to all the fun things life hands us. Take care and I will also text you my phone number soon. Good to finally see some action on this site.

So far it has been SO worth it! I have lost 35 lbs in 9 weeks which feels like a miracle to me. It's been a huge change but I am so excited that all the work actually pays off and the weight is coming off. It's scary and a huge step, but you know you are ready. They will take great care of you in the hospital and you will do great! I'm hoping to make it to the support group this month. I think those are important....talking to real people in person really makes you feel like you are not alone. Hope to see you there.

I think the biggest hurdle for me has been getting in enough water. I dont' really like drinking water or things other than milk and protein shakes. Water just doesn't set well in my stomach, and I can't drink it very fast so I struggle every day getting my 64 oz of water in...most days I fall somewhat short. I have found some Crystal light flavors this week that seem to go down easier and that has helped me get more water in.
I hope to make it to the support group. I work on Thurs so it's a race for me to get done in time to get there by 5:30. I didn't make it to the last group meeting because my daughter had a gymnastics meet. You are in good hands!

Thanks for that info, I was a little worried about the taste of Isopure, I am going this week to GNC, How are you doing, Has it been worth it? Any advise is appreciated, What has been the hardest thing for you? Lets keep in touch ok?

Good luck with your surgery! The 3 day liquid diet is pretty brutal but it is short. You can do it! I counted my blessings that I didn't have to do the 2 week liquid diet that so many others had to do. The Isopure protein drinks (GNC) kept me sane. The orange isn't that bad and they give you a little bit of protein to get you thru!
