I had the lap band proceedure by Dr. Ihor Fedorak at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Spgs.  If you are wanting a caring, educational, and patient doctor, he's the guy for you.  He was extremely patient with all my questions before and after surgery.  But what I liked most about him was...now looking back...surgery was 7/1, he took time tightening my band even though I felt it wasn't working fast enough (I'm the type of person who wants things yesterday), he was so patient with me.  I had been reading how the weight just melts off patients, but at the same time, I was incorrect in my expectations...a patient must loose slowly, it's not healthy to do otherwise. So by Dr Fedorak going slow with the adjustments I needed, it helped me become accustom to the tighter band each time..(had to have 3 adjustments)...since the band was going to be in me forever...I am so extremely thankful he adjusted it the way he did. Now it's middle of December and I've lost over 30lbs and am down 4 dress sizes. Good luck!  

Does anyone have recent experience with the Surgical Weight Loss Center at Denver Health? Their surgery schedule apparently came to a stop in September. The explanations I've heard (from staff) range from "nobody was ready," to "we have to accomodate the schedule of an outside surgeon who is 'critiquing' (or monitoring) our program." I wonder if the program is in trouble.  

I got an email from Dr. Snyder that Dolly was no longer with the practice and wondered what happened.  I had sent her email after email with no response.

I have a hunch that my insurance co. did receive the paperwork, I think they are stalling.  I was told that the info was sent on 11/3, 11/5 and 12/7.
And NO ONE at the insurance co. can find these documents?!
BS! 

So, now I have to wait.  I have sent emails and left messages for Amber and the other gal, Irene and still...I wait.  

I have no exclusions on the policy. I have done everything they wanted and nothing yet.  

I will keep calling, multiple times a day, until I get my answer.  There is no reason why I should not be approved.  The Insurance Co. stating they didn't receive clinicals is BS! I don't believe that Dr. Snyder's office wouldn't send them!!!!

So I am here, waiting.  

Looks like not too many people visit the Colorado Message Board.  Anyway I will just throw this out there?  Anyone live near Lakewood that would like a workout buddy! I am a Member @ 24Hr Fitness, so i guess if your a member techinally we can meet at any gym. If so let me know!
