I live in Westminster and would love to find a group near me...(72nd and Federal area)  If there's none, how about a informal munch or get-together once a month???

I would check again with Slimgenetics....they are required to keep all records (they might have put your records on microfiche or disk).  I do hope that the insurance will accept a detailed letter from your doctor (I had to do the same thing with mine-- I relocated from CO to NY and my records were totally screwed up!)
Good luck on your surgery!!!

Topic: 28/26/24 for you, 22/20 for me....
Hey,
Does anyone need any women's size 28/26/24 clothes? I have a bag to donate and would be willing to pass them to someone in need.

I am looking for size 22/20/18's if anyone has any that they are willing to donate or possibly sell.  I have been trying to Goodwill but am not finding anything. I am looking for tops in a 2x or 20/22 especially.

Thanks Kj

So, I had my consult with Dr. Snyder and just love him. My biggest worry at this point is that Cigna requires a 6 month medically monitored weight loss program - which I have done through my physician and Slimegenics, but the company destroyed my records and so we have to rely solely on the notes from my doctor. I guess it is not really a huge deal, I mean worst case scenario is that I have to wait 6 months.

In the meantime, I have had my labs done, have my pulmonary function test and nutrition consult scheduled for this week, my psych eval for next week, and my post-op nutrition class scheduled for the first week of December. My hope is that I can have the lap band done on December 9th - so I am putting it out there so that the universe can align with me!

Have a great day everyone!

UPDATE**

So I attended the seminar and am even more convinced that this is the right choice for me. I now have my consult scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 2nd. I have already done the physical and blood work with my primary care physician last week. Does anyone have any advice before I go in?

Hi Ladies,

I am Carrie and live in Littleton with my husband, 6 year old daughter, and 2 German Shepherds. I have step-sons who are now 21 & 18, but live in Colorado. Congrats on getting scheduled. I bet you are both so excited. I am going to my consult appointment on Tuesday and have already had my physcial and blood work done. I am hopeful that I can get scheduled around the same time as you guys, but I will know more on Tuesday!

Hi,
I am having my surgery done from Dr Quaid in Ft Collins also. Mine is on 11-2. Looks like we all will be going through this at the sametime. Who ever wants can drop me a line and will send cell number to call or text at any time.

My center does the same thing. they give you a card saying you had this done and you need to eat smaller sizes and to allow you to order kids meals and stuff like that. the office said they do not have to honor it but most places will.

all you can do is ask and see if they will let you and if not you can always have them box half of the meal up before bringing it to the table and take the left overs home for more meals.

FYI i am in fort collins

I live in loveland and Dr. Quaid in fort collins is doing my surgery on 12-15

I have BCBS and did not need an approval from my PCP to have the surgery. All Dr. Quaid required was a copy of my medical records.

Now i have  BMI of 44 so that might be the differance, but i thinks you should call and talk to the office staff again b/c i have never heard of this.
