I'm concerned that I'm eating too much because I've only lost 4 pounds since the 14th of November. I can eat about 1/2 cup of food now. I read somewhere that after bypass surgery, we only absorb about 40% of the calories that we take in and I only take in about 800 calories a day. How can I not be losing weight faster? The doctor said at my last appointment that I was doing fine, but I'm worried. I was getting hungry in the afternoon and eating a 4th time. Lisa, the dietician said that I should try eating more at lunch ( I was doing string cheese, and maybe a fat-free hot dog, no bread). She suggested 1/2 sandwich or salad with chicken. I've been doing that and am not losing now. I'm eating more carbo...I made the mistake of finding sugar free cookies that I like. But even at that, it's still only about 800 calories a day. Should I go back to eating only protein? Maybe it's because I'm not walking as much. I don't know, I'm just depressed that I don't seem to be losing. Thanks for letting me ramble. Cindy
