Dr. Schoen is my doctor.  He is awesome.  I really like him and he is a wonderful doctor.  My surgery went great and I haven't had any problems.  I was extra pleased because I was afraid that the pain would be bad and I've had those morphine machines before but it didn't help.  He assured me that the machine would be set so that I wouldn't have any pain and he was right.  I think before the doctors didn't take into account that I was a big person, Dr. Schoen did. Trust me, just do what he says and everything will be wonderful.  :-)  I've lost 72 pound since September, including 19 before my surgery on September 6.  Of course, I gained 10 pounds while I was in the hospital which freaked me out but it is totally normal because of the IV's.  It is water weight and comes off in the first 10 days or so. I am having mine done in Denver at University Hospital by Dr. Jonathan Schoen, my insurance didn't mention the Center of Excellence.  I have heard of it and it has rang with praises.  A friend of mine had his done there in August and he loves them.  We may meet up someday at a support group there since I will more than likely join a group in Springs since it is closer.
