Topic: VSG in Colorado?
Hello,
I'm just beginning the process of looking into weight loss surgery. After loosing 110 lbs a couple of years ago, and nearly gaining all of it back, and countless other not so drastic weight losses and regains, I feel like this is my only hope of keeping weight off. After doing some reading, the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy is really intriguing me. The problem is, I haven't been able to find a surgeon in Colorado who does this on a regular basis. I did find one who would do it as a last resort only. My question is, does anyone know a surgeon in Colorado who is performing this? Have any of you had it done out of state? If so, how does the follow up work?
Any advice or encouragement anyone would care to offer would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance,
Susan

No problem Lisa. I sent it again. I'm in the hospital for bowel obstruction so it gives me something to do.

Hi Susi.. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I didn't receive the invite. It may have gone into my spam yesterday and I automatically deleted it. Please send it again and I will keep checking. THanks again.. Lisa

Hi, I'm Luz I've seen you at work (CE) and you look pretty good , I know that being at a sit down job is a drag for this surgery. Ive been working there and let me tell you, i had my surgery on 08/27/07 and im down 80 lbs with 50 to go but girl, its hard work. You have to make sure your not grazing or snacking in between too much or at least snack on the right stuff. Exercise is the key, my surgeon advised me to get atleast 30 min to 1 hour a day if i can no matter what and thats what i do. As far as tummy tucks and stuff they adv wait till your 1 year out atleast...so know that u are not the only one at work with this issue :)

Topic: Help! I still need to loose 43lbs
Hello OH,
My Surgery was Feb. 26th 2007 and i still need to loose 43lbs to get down to goal weight of 150lbs. I am currently at 193lbs. I am so miserable i feel my self drifting back into my old eating patterns and not exercising if anyone can be of help with giving me some suggestions on what i can do to get back on Track i would be greatly appreciated. I know what the Tool is but i still get side tracked. Also if anyone has any suggestions on when to think about getting a tummy tuck is it when your at goal weight or can you do it before? does anyone have any experience with BCBSIL PPO insurance getting the tummy tuck or can you suggest a certain Surgeon to consider?
Thanks for all your HELP in advance
Geena
