Dr. Schoen is my surgeon - I had the LapBand procedure. He is excellent, and 9 months out, still very involved in my care. Also, my experience at University Hospital was great.

Dr. G did my WLS with Dr. Shieh. Dr. Shieh moved to Florida. You will love thier office Alene is so great and so is everyone else. I see Dr. G at the end of the month for my 6 month check up he is so caring and what a great man he is.

Al, there is nothing "cheating" about WLS, but that's a very common mindset that most of us have had at one point or another.
There is research showing that people who need to lose about 100 pounds or more have about a 2-3% success rate of taking it off and keeping it off.
It took me 2 years to make the decision to have RNY from the time I first got the paperwor****il I finally just did it. I couldn't be happier about my decision. I personally went with RNY because I know myself well enough to know I needed something permanent.

We've recently moved to Denver and I need to see a PS in the area. I had a lower body lift last summer back in TX and unfortunately I'm too far away from my old plastic surgeon to see him. Can anyone tell me the name of a PS in Denver who's done either a tummy tuck or lower body lift?

Where: Penrose Hospital - 2222 North Nevada Avenue Colorado Springs, CO
Going North on 115 / Nevada Avenue take a left into Penrose Hospital
Park in the first parking lot on the right
Walk on the left of the Penrad Imaging building
Walk into the first door and go down the hallway
Meeting is in the conference room CC-A (CC: Cancer Center)
When: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month at 6:30 PM
2nd and 4th Fridays of every month at 6:30 PM
Who: Gastric Bypass Patients, Lap Band Patients, those that are considering having the surgery, already have surgery, friends, family, etc.
Why:
Everyone needs support. Going to a meeting you can get information directly from those that have gone through it. You can make a network of friends that understand and can help. This is the largest weight loss surgery support group in the nation.
