I know we aren't suppose to be having cookies of any type much less those addictive Girl scout cookies but I just can't turn down a parent, much less a girl scout herself, trying to peddle these tasty nuggets.  So, if you are like me, I found the least diet damaging one! http://luvsexytrstno1.blogspot.com/2008/04/are-they-made-wit h-real-girl-scouts.html

I just had my first visit with Dr. Johnell in Greely. He seems to really know what its all about. I was made to feel very comfortable, although he is absolutely no nonsense he has a good sense of humor. His staff is very good, a little trouble with the scheduling person but nothing major. So far I would highly recommend this Doctor! He has very comforting stats also!

ok so i have seen you around out there, responding in your long winded yet kind and funny way, and i just want you to know that you rock.  You are insightful, well spoken, and an inspiration.  I truely am moved to step back and start talking the talk even and walking the walk.  Really, you shoul be proud of your writting skills, and your compassion.  I forget sometimes that i am normal.  I forget that this is a pattern and I am letting it suck me down the drain without a fight.  I will get up in the morning and walk.  I am a success and I just needed a reminder!  Thank you!

Hi Holly,  I just had my Nutrician appt with Laura Tonsits 3201 N. Academy Suite 100,        776-3601.  She was awesome!  I had my psych eval yesterday and that was with Dawn in the same office.  I am hoping to have my Gastric bypass mid June.  They were both GREAT, I would recommend them to anyone.  I hope this helps, let me know how you are doing.  Who is your Surgeon?  Mine is Dr. Fedorak, he was recommended to me and he was great also when I met with him a few weeks ago. WOW, I was surprised by all the replys.  Well anyway, as I said my surgery was March 25, & I haven't had a fill yet.  I'm alittle anxious about it. I don't feel much different than before the surgery.  I was hungry 3 days after.  I'm trying to stick to the soft foods but it really is hard.  I went through Kaiser so the other hospital that Dr Chae is at is St Joseph.  I had a wonderful experience there.  I had to stay overnight because of other medical issues.  I hope this helps.  I will try to check this site more often to reply.
Hi everyone:

This is a little off subject here, but I had my Lap Band put in by Dr. Metz at P/SL and my fill is set for April 23. Though I think by the time my appointment comes around, they're probably gonna need to do an ultra sound - JUST TO **FIND** THE PORTAL HOLE THAT THE NEEDLE GOES INTO. I say this because if there was an incision over it, it's healed up now. 'cause it ain't there.

That said, once they do find it, I hope that when they do stick the needle in, the pain will be comparable to an IV being put in my arm. Anything much more painful and they may as well numb the area with LOADS of morphine or just put me out.

As for the diet, I can relate as effective yesterday, I am now able to eat normal foods, but the nutritionalist told me to GO SLOWLY in re-integrating normal foods into my diet once again. But I too find this hard as there are times I just wanna go take a trip to the nearest fast food joint, supermarket deli or SOMETHING to fulfill my hunger. But I know I can't quite do that just yet. I may be able to go to places like Taco Bell, which serves their food in small portions to begin with, to snitch every once in awhile. But their food isn't the most nutrious.

Anyway, I'm drifting WAY off topic now and just wanted to comment on the fill issue and dealing with hunger while on soft foods. But trust me, you'll soon be in a position to re-integrate nutritious normal foods into your diet before you know it, so hang in there Deb!

Cheers :D
