Hi if you have Great west healthcare insurance through the state I would love to talk to you. I'm trying to get more information on them, and their policy. Currently my mothers policy states that they will only cover up to $7,000.00 of any bariatric surgery, and absolutely no coverage for complications. I am not 100% sure but I believe this policy is specific to the states insurance only.  I am trying to get more info on this and also am looking for people who are trying to get approval for FULL coverage of bariatric surgery through this policy. We are currently trying to start a letter writing campaign to see if we can get this policy changed  for Colorado state employees, so that it will include full coverage of bariatric surgery.  If you have any information or would like to help with this letter writing campaign please PM me.  Thanks

Ok, I'm just going to interject my thoughts on the subliminal stuff.... And remember, I am only speaking for myself. I know WHY and HOW I got fat. That is the first thing I addressed before I even called to make an appointment for a consultation. I'd had years of counseling from the time I was 14. I was molested from the time I was 4 until well past 14. That is the "ROOT" of my path of self destruction. It didn't get better with the men that I picked to marry. The first one I picked at 17 and he was a guy who liked to choke and hit, and that marriage didn't last but 1 year. The second husband was a tough guy... He liked to threaten with weapons and restrain me and hit me... Hmmm, I was brilliant over that one too..... About 15 years later, I escaped his grasp. And now that I am married to a wonderful, peaceful man who treats me right, I am learning that I AM worth loving, and that I need to make ME a priority!! I have spent so much time taking care of everyone else and doing for everyone else, that I honestly "felt" hidden in plain sight... Anyways, to make a long story short... For me, I had to sit down and re-evaluate my life and everything that happened to me and everything that I let happen to me... I had been on a path to self destruction since I was 14... 24 years later, I finally get it!! I know what I need to do for me!! And it's great to finally have the spousal support that I've needed my whole life!! Just how I see things, Frankie

Ohhhhh Pat, Please read that FREE article I cited. The surgery WILL NOT keep the weight off. Like every other diet you have tried, it will work wonderfully well. You will lose weight post-op. AND you will be able to SABOTAGE the surgery 9-18 months post op for RNY's. Many of my coaching clients are, in fact, WLS post-ops who had already gained back 45 lbs - 50% of what they'd lost! The key to permanent success is learning HOW to actually dismantle the complex network of behaviors that are activated in that part of our brains called the LIMBIC SYSTEM, aka "The reptilian brain."
