Topic: RE: Dolly at Dr Snyders office
Initially I felt that way about her also but after 5 years of fighting with different insurance companies, she helped me get approved. She and Dr. Snyder never stopped fighting for me. My husband was so impressed with them that he had surgery 3 months after I did. Dolly is very busy but she is the best patient advicate you can have when fighting for approval. She will also tell you the truth about your chances and you may not want to hear it at the time, but it is honest. She can also tell you what works with certain insurances and what doesn't. Don't give up. I have been there and I know how anxious you can be to get started on your weightloss journey. Also, take advantage of the follow up program that Dr. Snyder offers, it is one of the best out there. They even helped me to keep my breast milk through surgery and after. How many surgons would have told me it was impossible or not to even try to continue to breast feed? Most of them, I asked. I am so pleased with my experience, I am sure you will be too.

Topic: New shake and soft food recipes on my blog!
Although the recipes call for myoplex lite protein powders (he does alternate say any low carb/low sugar protein powder (soy or whey) with at least 24 grams of protein, will work also), you can use your favorite protein powder instead. These recipes are great for new post ops and people on the soft or pureed food stages.

I had my surgery with Dr. Snyder and was completely pleased with everything. Hang in there no matter what. They're a good group of people.

Dolly is an extremely busy gal! She is one of the most caring and helpful people you will ever meet! Try and ask the front gals to get her for you or tell her you will stay on hold and wait for her! I promise, its not on purpose, also try an email!! Good Luck!!

I am in the same boat, Stinam! I have left 2 messages today so looks like I need another couple. Everyone else there has been so helpful and so prompt but she is hard to get. I have all my clearances and last I talked to her there was a possiblity of getting surgery this Thurs or Fri and I am on pins and needles waiting. She has always called back and is always very efficient and professional but isn't as prompt as I'd like sometimes, I guess I need to remember I am not the only patient.
Just editing to add: I got my call back and it's great news. She is calling me back shortly but looks like surgery is Thursday, she needed to call the hospital etc. and call me back with details but didnt' see a problem. And, in her defense, she sounded very rushed and busy. THANKS DOLLY!!! Surgery is Thursday at 1pm.

Has anyone else using Dr Snyder had a ridiculous time trying to communicate with Dolly. I find it takes leaving 3-4 messages before she'll even return a call. I'm SOOOOOO frustrated right now!!!
Topic: Is it true, no more soda ever after VSG?
Hi, I'm new to this. I'm going to be getting VSG as soon as I find a good support group near me. That's been a problem so far. My biggest worry is the soda pop. Yes I love it. I guess this is one of those give and take things...but I have to admit I don't like the idea of it.
