Topic: 1 week tomorrow
Hi, I had my surgery 6/16/08. I have heard stories from friends and family of people they know who within a week were back to normal in terms of mobility and pain. I feel like something must be wrong with me. I am having a very hard time hydrating because every sip of water or anything causes a cramping sensation just below my left breast bone, and I feel like it is quite a chore to walk completely upright. I am nervous about having to go back to the hospital but my 2oz every 15 mins is turning into 2oz every hour or so. please help!

Hello, and welcome to the CO board. Sorry, it's a little slow!
Did your doctor give you any guidelines/suggestions regarding your diet? The main suggestion I have is protein. If you're on solids, you can try chicken or tuna. Pork and beef didn't agree with me, but everyone is different. Cottage cheese is another good staple. I've never looked into it, but I believe there may be some WLS friendly recipes somewhere on OH.

I posted more recipes from 200 low carb slow cooker recipes by Dana Carpender. I love this book. I want to give copies out for christmas presents this year, I like it that much! YEA Holly, you look Great. Funny that you talk about zip lines...I am going to Hawaii July 1 for 10 days and that is on the top of my list of things to do. I already have my friend who I will be staying with looking into it. Snorkeling is also on my list of things to do, and then of course just lots of sight seeing....... Again, you look fantastic!!! Topic: BCBS Texas - Are they FUSSY?
Anyone with BCBS of Texas? I had my nutrition class yesterday. Psych eval next week. Think I am going through all of this only to be denied??? I paid $150 for the nutrition class and will have to pay at least the copay for the pych eval.
I don't want to go through this only to have my heart broken again. I went through it 2 years ago when another BC carrier I had - excluded weight loss surgery. This new one does not list it as an exclusion and says will do surgery for weight loss.
Any feedback?

Hello Everyone, I had surgery on 05/23/08 and I am doing well... Kinda unsure about the diet. Everything is so new and different. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Also I am 29 and live in Pueblo, Co. I would love to talk to people in my area maybe get together for a walk at the Riverwalk!! Looking to make new friends to share WL experiences with!!
