Topic: RE: Anyone here have DS?
Hi, I am a pre-op, so I can't answer your question about flying for the DS, but i can tell you that the closest one to CO is Dr. Gary Anthone in Omaha, Nebraska. He has tons of experience with the DS, having been the bariatric director of USC for a number of years and has trained many surgeons. Check out www.duodenalswitch.com for some other ideas.
Good luck!

Topic: I have a date to meet with surgeon.
I went to the seminar yesterday at Penrose and it was pretty informative. They said that the doctors were booked til the end of July beginning of August. My first appointment with Dr. Fedorak is for July 10th. I am soooooooooooooo, excited.
Any one have any suggestions or thoughts about the beginning stages?

Topic: RE: I have a Lap Band
I had one night stay in the hospital. I'm now almost 2 weeks out, and while I'm still a little stiff, I'm feeling pretty good.
Good luck to you.

I'm scheduled for an initial meeting with my doctor next week (07/01) ... if all goes well and I will have the lap band surgery 4 weeks later ... did you only have an overnight at the hospital? ...
Thanks, Julie

I'm hoping to be accepted for the surgery also. Where are you having it done? Did they tell you how many classes you have to attend?
Good Luck sista!

Topic: RE: 1 week tomorrow
Asashorty- I'm sure sorry to hear you're having a tough time, I would definitely call your doctor and tell him/her what's going on. It doesn't sound normal and with a Lap you can be back to life that quick. If you call the dr. you could aviod the hospital, but if you don't drink they will hook you up to hydrate you sure as anything. call the dr.!!!!!! Hope things get better really fast...........VickyRuth
