I'm sorry to hear you are divorcing, I hope you are well.  I really have missed your wonderful posts.  How are you doing?  How is the weightloss going?  Mine is stagnant right now.  I'm not exercising and so have been at 95 lbs lost for about 2 montns, still, I feel so much better and being able to wear a size 18 jean is amazing.

Please take care of yourself.

I moved back to Texas but I wish I could still go to the Penrose support groups. I encourage everyone to attend if they can.

Hi! I was just bored at work and decided to pop on and see what was going on. Me and my husband are getting a divorce and I moved back to Texas. So that's why I haven't been around. Hope everything is going well.

Topic: RE: I found out some info regarding Body Wraps
I can tell you first hand that this didn't work at all.  I went to Beverly and did a wrap.  #1 she works out of her house, #2 you do lose som inches but within 2 days they are back so not worth the 140 I spent to get it done.  There are some online things you can purchase to do it yourself at home.  I have to come to realize that I will have excess skin and will have to deal with it when the time comes but I would rather have loose skin then be MO :-)

Hope that helps

Topic: RE: Fort Carson DSers?????
Hi Sheila and Tara,
I was over here checking out the CO board to see if I recognize any folks from our DS forum.  I have been online checking out homes in the Colorado Springs area which is right near Ft carson.  My 2 best girlfriends now live there, as well as their kids who I consider neices and nephews.  I have decided that I will look into moving to Co too, about a year from now or after that.  Once I have had my DS surgery in October and drop the weight, I will need a new goal to look forward to.  I have been in MD all my life except for a 3 year stay in NC during my brief marriage.  There is nothing holding me here, since most of my friends have moved to other places and my sister is doing the same in a couple of years as well.
CO Springs is so beautiful and I like the views of Pike's Peak.

My friend has lived in CO Springs or over ten years now but I haven't yet asked her to give tips on where are the ebst areas to live.  Any suggestions?

Best of luck in your move.  Are you in the military?

Thanks for the suggestion.  You're not too late.  My DH got sick and we had to cancel the trip.  We haven't rescheduled yet so I'll keep the ginko in mind when we do.

Thank you again.

I saw a program on Nova that suggested ginko might help with tolerating high altitudes.  I suggested this to some friends who were coming in from NY state; they both used it before and after they got here (combined with lots of water).  Neither of them suffered any signs of altitude sickness (they flew in also and went right up to 7,000 feet).  Worth a try...you can buy ginko at any health food store.   By the way, they were both in their fifties.   Mikelanne  P.S. I just looked
at the date of your posting; you are probably home by now.  Hope you had a great time! :-)

Topic: RE: a bit worried...
I had surgery 7 months ago and have lost 130+ lbs.  People comment on how much younger I look...I'm 43 and people thought I was in my 30's before I had surgery and I still get a lot of comments about how much younger I look.  My skin has never been in better shape, even strangers stop me.  My sister tells me that I look like I did when I was in high school - but I KNOW I don't look like I'm 18! LOL  I think it's the luck of the draw.

Good luck!
