yes he knows exactly what he would be getting into as I had my band done july 9 he knows that it is'nt easy  and I can't figure out why anyone would be so discouraging to another person and he dosn't need the surgery to be a "MACHO MAN"  be cause he is very sweet and caring  and a really nice guy to boot

I am having RNY gastric bypass surgery... I was initially interested in lapband surgery, but my Dr was not as enthused about it as gastric bypas surgery.  I've been reading many things about both surgeries, and I'm happy w/ the decision that I've made to have the gastric bypass surgery.

I am still waiting to hear from my surgeons office to schedule my surgery date... and I'm just so ready at this point to begin this journey.  I know it will not be an easy one, but I feel in my heart that it is one that will improve my quality of life.

Hi, I am having my Lap band surgery on 9-11-08 and was wanting to hear from anyone that had their surgery with Dr. Johnell. Please tell me your experiences..
