Hi and congratulations!!!!
I am so glad I went to Dr. Johnell. Him and ALL of the staff have been really great and have answered all my questions and have been wonderful. They really make you feel comfortable when you go in there. Are you getting the realize band or lapband? I got the realize band and love it.

Teri - That is awesome that you are down 21 pounds already. I am very anxious, the wait is the hardest part!!! I am just trying to prepare myself and make food lists and stuff like that. We are right in the middle of moving right now so my stress level is through the ROOF>>> ugh :)

Seriously. child proofing in my house is ever evolving and I have to wonder how our mothers did it without all of the locks and covers, etc we have today.

Hi Nicole,
You picked a great surgeon. I had surgery by Dr. Snyder twice this summer. On June 5th he put my lapband on and on Aug 8th, he took my gall bladder out. He's great. Which surgery are you having? Good luck to you and I hope you get a surgery date real soon. It seemed like an eternity when I was waiting for mine, but in reality it was pretty quick and now I can't believe it's been 3 mos since I got my band. I have lost 61 lbs. (I lost 10 from the time of my seminar in April to my 1st consult with Dr. S on 5/14 so 51 since surgery).

I'm in Arvada and Dr. Brown operated on me August 25th. You will love him! He is one of the very very best! His staff is also the best! I'd love to go through this with you.....

Hi Nicole! My name is Amanda and i live in Denver. I am scheduled for open RNY on Sept 15th. Ten days- I can't believe it. I have been struggling with my weight since the sixth grade but it has gotten more and more difficult over time. My husband had WLS at the end of June and he is doing great.
I am very excited about starting my new life. Although I am committed to this life change it is a bit of a grieving process to give up my best friend SWEETS.

Hi Nicole! I've had the lapband on 8-25-08, with Thomas Brown MD here in Denver. I'd be happy to go through this with you!!!! I'm 11 days post op but still learning! How are you doing now? Getting nervous I imagine!! Let me know anything, I can tell you what I know! I've heard great things about Dr. Snyder!

Is there anyone in the Durango area that has had the vertical sleeve? I live in Albuquerque but spend a great deal of my time in the Farmington/Durango area and am looking for a support network. I'm right at three months out with my VSG and 70 pounds gone forever!

I had Gastric Bypass with him. He is direct, patient, and very calming! You got the best! And the Bariatric unit post op is EXCELLENT as well!
