Topic: Zero Calorie Isopure Ready to Drink Protein Drinks
I have 20 bottles of Isopure zero calorie protein drinks, if anyone is interested in them. I bought 2 case (12 each) to drink during my 10 days of clear liquid diet, but couldn't drink them. They made me sick, for some reason, although I know others that drank them with no problem at all! I paid $80 for them at GNC (and that was the sale price!), so I would be willing to let them go for a LOT cheaper than that. If anyone is interested, just let me know how much you would pay for them. I could bring them to you if you are in the Denver area. I live in Lakewood, so Lakewood, Golden, Arvada, Wheatridge, Littleton, etc.
Oh, the flavors I have are 10 of Ice Orange and 10 of Pineapple Orange Banana.

Topic: RE: MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!
If you submit a req for an appointment on their website you may be able to get things started prior to going to the seminar. I did. Cause there is something that you can already work on like your labs, xrays, and EKG. You can also start your psych eval. There is one Psychologist that I know of that accepts medicaid. You do still have to pay her $65.00 for a fee for the paperwork but atleast you can get those appointments out of the way. I had to wait like a month to see the Dr. So it was nice getting everything else going while I waited and I attended the seminar the day before my appt with the DR. You also have to pay 225.00 for the dietician. Right now I am just waiting on my approval from medicaid.

Thank you so much. I have been thinking about this. You have eased my mind. This is the first year that I have considered surgery. I know that by dieting, I have had many failed attempts and gain more weight. Thank you for answering my question. Planning to attend a seminar hopefully Feb. 9, but possibly in March due to my brother in laws failing health with cancer.

Call Dr Georgescu office and set up an appt. You will have to go to a seminar but it doesnt matter what your PCP says if you have ahigh enough BMI u should be a ccandidte and they handle it all for you. And they only accept the traditional medicaid. They are awesome.

Did you have to have a pcp referral in order to receive surgery. I have a BMI of 50, but my pcp says that I have no co-morbidities and that I should just eat less. I have tried to eat less and exercise, but each time I lose weight, i end up gaining more. I have traditional medicaid in Colorado.

I know for sure Dr Georgescu and Dr Metz take medicaid these are the only 2 in the Denver area I have found that do take it. I chose Dr Georgescu because his office staff is amaxing and make the process so easy. They have no problems with answering your questions no matter how many you ask... Sara Hess is awsome. She makes things soooo easy..
Topic: RE: VSG the best surgery to date?
I dont know if you received an answer, as this board isn't really active. I admit I am on OH daily, but don't stop in here often.
VSG is considered a newer surgery and doesn't have the historical information, that RNY and DS have. Both of those surgeries can provide you data around the average excess weight loss, weight regain at 5 years post op, or 10 years post op. As well as some long term information around the percentage if cured comorbidities. Dsfacts.com is a great resource for informtion about the DS.
I would suggest posting this same question to the main board, where there are a lot of folks with every surgery type to provide you feedback. There are also boards for each surgery type where you will get a lot of information about the specific surgeries.
Surgery choice is a very personal thing, I don't know that there is one surgery that is the absolute best for everyone.
Best of luck on your journey!

Topic: VSG the best surgery to date?
I have heard that the VSG surgery is, to date, the best, most succesful surgery so far. Can anyone tell me where I can find the success rates of all three weight loss surgeries-VSG, DS and RNY???
