My only advise is to follow all the rules your NUT and surgeon give you...if you do that, you have no choice but to suceed!

Why do we come in and just look and read...we do not respond? I know for myself i wonder if people are going to want to read the "dumb stuff" that I have to say or not. But what if that stuff really means something to the person that writes it, or if it inspires the person that reads it? I would like to see more people from Colorado talk to eachother. You can see how many people read the post...but hardly any will respond - I to am guilty of it to, so I am going to try to respond to the ones that I read........

Hope you will check the type of insurance you have- my BC/BS wanted me to go out of state to get my WLS at their "Blue Center of Excellence" and it was only by a technicality that I was able to get the surgery in the state of Colo. without it being considered "out of network".

I received word yesterday that my insurance has approved my surgery so I am set for January 13, 2009!!
Dr. Dickinson in Fort Collins will be doing the surgery. I am excited but also a little nervous! We are taking a horse to stock show and my surgery will happen two days after she is done showing so it will be very hectic! I placed my order for the carnation instant breakfast so that I have a supply ready! Any tips or words of sage advice would be greatly welcomed!!

I guess Winter decided to finally come to Western Colorado huh??
I am burried under snow
BUT....it is a great work out I must say to push all of it off of the loads and loads of sidewalk and driveway that I have.

As far as anybody near you, Alexis and I are from Grand Junction. That is the closest I've seen recently on here. Anyway, welcome. This is a wonderful place with alot of wonderful people to give you support! Best of luck in your journey!

Hello! Iam new to the CO board. I had the sleeve done on 9/30/08 and am down 45 lbs to date. Having a hard time getting in enought protein and workouts. We have SO much snow that getting out of the driveway is a challange, much less trying to go for a walk (in our town that's 5 blocks x 12 blocks). So any ideas?
Anyone near me in SW Colorado?
