Topic: RE: Hi, Y'all!!!
Hello Darby,
My best friend had WLS from Dr. Fisher in Colorado Springs. She loves him! He is so caring and supportive. He is highly qualified. If you would like to speak to her about him, I am certain she would love to talk with you.

Hi Pat,
Thanks for responding, and by the way, you look great!!! Congratulations on your weightloss!!!!
I found two practices in Denver who do the VSG. (I had mine done in December, and I just love my sleeve.) For anyone looking for info, they are Dr. Snyder at Denver Bariatrics and Drs. Metz and Brown with Colorado Bariatric Surgery Institute.
Has anyone out there used any of these docs? If you have please let me know how your experience was.
Thanks & Blessings, Darby

Yeah, I agree with the above post. My husband and I just had our first meeting with Dr.Snyder and what an amazing guy he is! If I didn't get responded to in a couple days I would just drop him an email. He told us if ever we had any problems to do just that. In our opinions he's very caring and the patients are #1 so I'm sure he would want to hear if there are problems.

Hi jazae
I'm new here too, but as for your question I had my RNY/LAP on 8/12/08 and would do it all over again. As for telling your friends if they care for you..then they will be happy for you. I wanted to get rid of my diabetes and my high Cholesterol so I pretty much did not care what people and family thought. I think everyone just would like you to be healthy..so go for it and best wishes on your future surgery. See you on the loser's bench....

Funny blog. I think I'll pass (gas?) on this one.

Jazae, congrats on getting your date set! Good for you! It will be an exciting time in your life.
As far as family and friends......my decision was to talk to my family about this, letting them know it was a way to help me to become healthier. I no longer have diabetes, high blood pressure, plus my breathing is much easier since the surgery. As far as "friends", I only told those that are closest to me.
It's your choice and it's a personal choice to everyone.

I've noticed that no one on this board has answered you. I'm so sorry that I don't know the answer to your question. It seems that no one hardly ever talks to each other on this board, sad. I check in once in awhile. Good luck in finding your answer.

Hey everyone. I just got on here. My date is set for 10/2. The Rou nY. How do you go about telling friends and family about choosing this road? How have you dealt with negative comments?
