Topic: Anyone have Dr. Georgescu?

I'm pretty sure I am going to have my surgery with Dr. Georgescu, but wanted to see if there were others out there who have already had surgery with him. I have had great help thus far from his office and have my surgery consult May 20th. My main reasons for picking him are that he takes Medicaid, the location is very convenient for me, and in general have found he and his team to be very helpful and caring. I'm just curious as to what your experiences were pre and post op. Thanks!

If the weather is nice - we will meet at the Starbucks parking lot at 5:30 to walk around the lake at Clement Park. (BRING YOUR SNEAKERS)
Please RSVP to tell me if you will be attending as I need to have an idea how many chairs I need to put fake gum on so no one will sit in them until the group gets there! LOL

I've already started researching Dr. Anthone, based on lots of info I've found here. So far I've filled out & faxed back the insurance verification form. Still waiting to hear back.
I see he's the surgeon for both of you...would you mind telling me about your experiences with him?

Dr. Chea does revisions. I had VBG in 1999, and I'm having a RNY this summer.

Are you going to pay the cost of surgery? If so, we might be interested. My Husband for a band and a RNY or DS for me. (We do have insurance, but we need the other costs covered.) Have you thought about follow-through to plastic surgery too? That would be wonderful.

There are no surgeons that perform the DS in Colorado. If you really want the DS, check into Dr Anthone in Omaha. He's just a state away and is one of the top DS docs in the world.

Dr. Georgescu takes Medicaid, but I believe it needs to be traditional Medicaid and not an HMO type medicaid. He's in Thornton and uses North Suburban Hospital.

I'm leaning toward DS as the type of surgery that would best suit my needs, but I'm having trouble finding surgeons who perform it.
Dr. Snyder in Denver has DS listed as a type of surgery he performs, but I don't see any reviews or info from people who have had it done. I also didn't see it mentioned on his website. I have a request in to his office for more info, but was hoping to get some testimonials from others.
Also, do you know of any other surgeons who perform DS that aren't listed here?
