I love my stylist, she is awesome, but of course I am biased as she was a former student of mine in high school.  She works out of the Viva Salon off of hwy 115 and star ranch road.....near fort carson.  Her name is Ronishia.  Tell her gayle sent you!!

Two suggestions:  If the budget is looking okay, I go to Montage Salon.  It's on Carefree and Academy, behind the (now closed) Bennigans - awesome, awesome place.  It's upscale but worth every last dime; they have different level of stylists and I never once been disappointed.  Now, if I don't have two dimes to rub together, I go to The Wyld Hair - it's on Peterson Road, near Palmer Park.  I can get a great cut for about $25.  At Wyld I go to Kara.

It sucks finding a new place!  Good luck!

Topic: I need a hair cut!

I just moved to Colorado Springs a few months ago and I need to get a hair cut and I'm thinking of going blond! My hubby requested it. Does anybody know of a good salon in Colorado Springs??

Thanks!

Amanda, I ABSOULTLEY LOVE  Dr. Nagy. He has a great bedside manner, and will bend over backwards to make sure you understand.  He did my WLS, and in December took out my gall bladder.  He made me spend the night in the hospital, but wrote it up so that I was only charged out patient prices for the gall bladder...He is super, if you want more information, feel free to PM Me.!!!  good luck

I am using Dr. Tad Heinz.  He came highly recommended by both my PCP and my WLS surgeon.  I also have a friend who's daughter used him for breast reconstruction after a mastectomy, she speaks very highly of him and her daughter loves him.  I have had my initial consult and was very impressed.  I am having my thighs done....he told me that it is very rare to get insurance to pay for thighs, but he was glad to try, he quoted prices with and without insurance.  I am lucky in that insurance is going to pay and am scheduled for June 17th.  I can't wait.

I used Dr. K - surgery 3/18/09.  I was actually there the day of the snowstorm.  I have to say that Natalie has been what has kept me sane.  Dr. K is nice enough and a sweet person, but not clear at all in instructions (there seem to be some contradictions) and failed to give me some information on what to expect.  One time in particular he was very rushed and I felt like I couldn't ask him the questions I wanted to.  He is a real stickler for the diet plan and the fact that this is not a cure-all.

Also, I've gotten contradictory information between the staff and him.   These messages boards have been essential to me.  I didn't know about lapband hell, slider food, dumping syndrome, etc. from Dr. K.  I learned about it all here.

That said, I've been pleased with the surgery (after I finally talked to Natalie and found out about the first month being lapband hell) and if I have any questions I can call her (and she has had the surgery).  The nursing staff where he does the surgery were phenomenal and I've had no complications.  Everybody has been able to work around my very tight schedule (I work and am in law school).  He is a kind man and has an excellent reputation.

I have not heard from the NUT other than the first time right after my consultation.  I guess I expected to her more from her than just that one time.
