Surgery date finally obtained!!!!!!!!

I finally have a surgery date!!! Now I am scared to death...LOL April 18th is closing fast. My biggest concern is hair loss, what can I expect???

My surgeon is Thomas Brown. I had the opportunity to watch him work a few months back during a surgical clinical rotation so I know I am in good hands! I do my pre-op on the 4th and meet with Dr. Brown on the 6th. I had a friend get clear to admission on the 27th and she had a temp and they sent her home!!! Three days of fasting and to be all psyched up to be sent home.... She tries again on the 10th. Keep in touch and best of luck to you!!!!

Sharon, The hair loss will either happen or it won't. There isn't a whole lot you can do to prevent it. Make sure to eat your protein and take your vitamins and it may help but probably won't prevent it. All I have to say is don't worry!!! It grows back. Mine did, and losing some hair was a small price to pay to lose all the weight I have. Good luck to you on your journey. Kerri 341/193/175ish
