ANYONE USED HMO COLORADO

I had posted yesterday that I have anthem of co. Ins and come to find out that it is technacally hmo co. The stipulations are still the same with lifetime payout of 7500.00. Does this matter if dr found that surgery is medically needed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.--thanks julene

It is my understanding that regardless of cir****tance - a lifetime payout is just that....the max they'll pay out. I also have Anthem BCBS of Colo. they do have a lifetime payout of 7500 for the surgery. Despite this I decided to go ahead with the surgery. I will be 1 week post op 3/7/06. I made my mind up that I needed to do this even if I have to pay for the rest of the costs the rest of my life! It will be worth it to me! Good Luck, Cindy

Cindy... Thank you... That is the direction I am going as well... I am curious about what stages of approval that you have gone through, and what methods of payments you plan on using.... I dont know where to begin with this... Any help would be great.. Thanks again--julene.

Julene.. the approval was easy, I did all the pre testing stuff and as soon as Dr. Snyders office received it and submitted, its was approved 24hrs later. Regarding payments, well I have managed to saved a little bit and I will have to see what my balance will be after the insurance pays. I will most likely try to make payment arrangements with everyone and if that doesn't work I will have to get a loan. Hope this helps! Cindy
