Where is everyone?

I admit I'm guilty about not posting on the state board very often but I came here today to see what is going on and there is nothing! I know there are a lot of poeple here in Colorado who are having surgeries. Where are you?

I'm here. Hangin out on the Western Slope until the drive over to Denver on Monday for my Tuesday surgery. Didi

What kind of surgery are you having? I had Lap RNY just over two years ago. Feel great! This was the best thing I have ever done for myself. You are embarking on an incredible journey. Good luck!

I'm having lap RNY with Dr. Chae. I'm usually much more verbose but I think I'm a little nervous about it. Didi

Hey Didi - First good luck on your WLS next Tuesday! Hope your drive over is uneventful and peaceful. I grew up on the Western Slope, Gunnison & Monte Vista. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing! Cheri

Hey Cheri, We may have been in Gunnison at the same time but at different ages. I was there from 1971 to 1975 and that is where I started gaining weight. I lived in the La Veta over on Boulevard St. Monte Vista is down near Durango isn't it? Go**** must be hard to live on the Front Range after growing up on the sunny side of the mountains. Didi - I lived in Monte Vista from 1961 to 1965, then in Gunnison from 1966 to 1969. I loved growing up there! I lived right in front of the college on Colorado. (We even used to trick-or-treat in the dorms! Imagine kids doing that now!) Hang in there and talk soon. Cheri

Charlie - Thanks for kicking some of us in the tush! I stopped in for a visit to the Colorado board today (I'm usually on the January 2005 board or main board). Thanks for kicking it up a notch. I am 10 months out, down 110 pounds and feeling great! I do not miss the 8 prescriptions a day or any of the MO health problems! Keep on posting! I will keep on dropping in. Cheri
