I just want to say I totally agree with you! I've only recently began looking at these boards and I am discouraged by the lack of activity and responses on them. I have found the main message boards to be much more encouraging and helpful. I've posted a few emails to people personally in the Denver area and have never gotten a response. It seems like there isn't a lot of interest here. I just want to say I wish you all the best for you surgery on Tuesday and hope everything goes picture perfect!!! I am envious! I have Kaiser and just got my approval with a letter saying it will be about a year before my surgery will be scheduled! Keep us posted on your progress!!! Shirley Brown

I have to agree with you about people responding. I live in Wyoming and I had my surgery in Ft Collins ....not only do I look for answers but I also look for support (The lasting kind) but I always seem to get the happy happy support letter and that is the final connection. That has been a little disappointing . Hope you get your appointment quicker than you think and good luck Anita

Anita, Thanks for your response! I read your profile and we share some similarities; our faith in God, our age, and we both have wonderful husbands; I also have diabetes, but so far haven't had to be medicated for it. I have 3 kids and have been married for 20 years, but I like the connection we share. I am starting out a little heavier around 280 and am looking so forward to being a normal size again. It's almost too much to hope for at this point. Are you happy you had the surgery? Thanks for taking the time to write!

D- I hope all went well with your surgery. My prayers are with you in your recovery and WL journey. Terry By the way, I just found this local Colorado board and I hope to be more active here as well as on the big board.

I see what you mean! I'm not new to this site, but I'm new to the area. Just looking into getting information about local surgeons and some leads on financing. Good luck!!
