Hello, Shelley...........

This seems to be a very quiet board, however, I wanted to say hello to you. I'm located just south of Colo. Spr. and have looked into Dr. Johnell's site many times. He has excellent, excellent patient reviews and I am considering him as well. You seem to be playing the 'jumping the hoops' game with the insurance company. That is so frustrating - those con artists. I recently sent in a long overdue appeal to mine and am waiting for some word. Well, I just wanted to say hello and wish you well with the insurance! Hi Leslie! This is a quite board, I don't come here often cause there's usually nothing new. As for the insurance game, I'm approved! I got approved on the first try, after only 1 day! I was completely amazed, to say the least. I'm very impressed with Dr. Johnells team so far, can't say too much about him as I only met him for about 5 mintues. But his surgery stats are teriffic. Plus, he's only about 30 minutes from my house (I live in Brighton) and that's closer than the docs in Denver. And his waiting list isn't as long as the Denver docs. Either surgeon you decide to go with, I wish you the very best. Keep us informed of your progess

Hello, Shelley. Congratulations!!!! I saw your posting on the main forum and am so very excited for you! That's wonderful! I'm considering Dr. Johnell as I like what I see on his profile. I've been sending an email to Ms. Englehardt (Dr. Johnell's personnel) because I noticed that one of their patients has the exact same insurance as I and I'm trying to make contact with the patient to find out how she was approved so quickly. Unfortunately, I'm getting no response from his office. That's wonderful that you are located close to the surgeon. I'm 'down south' of C. S. however, someone in my neighborhood had RNY through Dr. Johnell so this is an option.
