am i crazy...or just hungry?
Hi everyone
My name is michelle..I am in the pre-surgery phase of this journey. The insurance is now in control of deciding the fate. My claim is currently in pre-determination..so they can take up to thirty days to decide if WLS is medically necessary.
Since I have had my consult with Dr. Snyder my eating and hunger is out of control. I am hungry all the time, but not just hungry. I'm starving. Not only that, but I notice where before I sometimes obsessed about food..now it is all the time. I'm thinking about what I'm going to be eating for supper while ingesting lunch.
I am really concerned. Is my head telling my body to EAT EAT EAT while you because I know that when surgery happens that will not be the case? Or my other fear is that this pattern will continue even after surgery..and I'm setting myself up for failure.
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this phenomona? If so what was the outcome?
Thanks...
michelle
Michelle,
not to worry. I think it's normal. I was like that but for me I developed really bad reflux about a month before surgery and couldn't eat anything without getting sick. As for your worries of feeling like that after surgery, there may be times where you think about food but you aren't going to be able to eat like you did before surgery. And if you try, you will only make yourself sick so the chances of you failing are very very slim. Good luck with your journey.
Kerri ;)
