Dr. Michael Snyder

Please help me. I am looking to have my surgery with Dr. Snyder. Went to the seminar and think he is just absolutely wonderful. My husband, on the other hand, is quite skeptical. Would you all mind letting me know of your experiences with Dr. Snyder--whether good or bad. I think my husband is just worried about me (which I'm thankful for), but I don't want him trying to talk me out of going to Dr. Snyder. So, if you could take a few minutes and let me know if you've had, going to have, anything with Dr. Snyder or if you decided against going with him and why. I had my surgery with Dr Snyder in February of this year. I think he is an excellent choice. He is very thorough and his follow-up program is one of the best I've seen or read about. I truly believe that he has been called to this profession and is passionate about helping people live full and satisfying lives. His program of total care including special training for the nurses in the bariatric program at Rose is exceptional. I have read many stories of surgeons who seem to be in it for a quick buck - Dr Snyder is dedicated to his profession and his patients. I highly recommend him.

I can sum up my thoughts on Dr. Snyder and is staff in three words.... I LOVE THEM!!!! I was one of those people who took 21/2 years to make up my mind that I needed to do the surgery. My husband went with me to my very first appointment with Dr. Snyder and was very impressed with him. Ask you husband to go to that first visit with you. I am sure that it will put his mind at ease. But if your husband drinks Soda Pop don't mention it to the Doc... mine got a lecture of a lifetime! I thought it was funny. But I also want to tell you, not only is Dr. Snyder WONDERFUL but his whole team is wonderful. The PA, Patrick actually had the surgery, the RN, Kim also had the surgery. Yes Dr. Snyder is a wonderful surgeon .. However let us be honest we all don't click with him .. Nor will we all be able to click with every doctor .. I think one should choose the doctor that they most feel comfortable with .. Good luck in your journey ... Audrey

Connie, Dr. Snyder did my lap RNY 1 year ago. He is an awesome doctor and his staff is great. I had to page Dr. Snyder a couple of times after my surgery and he answered right away - within 2 minutes, literally. I had a stricture about 8 weeks out from my surgery and Patrick, Dr. Snyder's PA, got me in for a dialation the next day. (Strictures happen in about 20% of people who have gastric bypass - it wasn't anything caused by how the surgery went.) Dr. Snyder and his whole staff are very caring and professional, you will be in good hands with them. He also did the surgeries for 5 other people I work with, (that's how I heard of him), and everyone had a great experience with him. Hope that helps. Pam

I had lap RNY 10/4/04, and I have had no problems. I am down about 115lbs, and the only thing I can say is after the surgery you will see his PA Patrick, but the whole staff is great! I have never for a second regretted my descision.

I also Had surgery with Dr Snyder. 06/30/05 and as a matter of fact 2 ladys I work with are down at the seminar He is having tonight right now. I recommend him to anyone that will listen. If I had His card I would hand them out!! I had My surgery 06/30/04 and I have lost about 125 lbs op far and have 25 more to go. I Owe it all to the Knowlage and support of Dr Snyder , Patrick and his staff. I was so scared when I started out. His seminar and Pre op and post op classes were great.
