Hi, Cady! I am in Colorado Springs and going to Dr. Schoen in Denver. It's worth the drive for me. I have a friend who had it done here in the Springs and she regrets it and I just met a lady who had a sister who had it done by the doctor here and she spent 26 days in ICU afterwards... You can find Dr. Schoen's information on the obesity help website just go to find a doc... Hope this helps. Good luck to you!

BEST BETS ARE DR. JOHNELL IN GREELEY OR DR. PETTINE IN FORT COLLINS. THERE IS A DR. TIM BROWN HERE IN CANON CITY BUT HE IS EXPENSIVE AND I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE. SELF PAY FOR RNY IN FORT COLLINS IS UNDER 15,000 INCLUDING ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND SURGERY CENTER. SO I'M GOING THERE. I JUST SENT OFF MY PACKET SO I WILL GET A CONSULTATION DATE SOON. GOOD LUCK !!! Cady, I am also in Colorado Springs. The only doctor here in town is Dr. Fisher. I also traveled to Ft. Collins and have a wonderful Dr. named Dr. Dickenson at Northern Colorado Sugical Associates. There number is (970)-482-6456. They are great. I was able to get a surgery date upon my first visit and my date was within 5 weeks of my initial visit. They handled all the paperwork with my insurance company (Tricare). Dr. Dickenson is very honest and sincere in wanting to help his patiences. I am so proud to be one of his patience. I really don't mind the drive because I take the tollway so I miss all the Denver traffic. I also liked being in Ft. Collins because it is pretty small so we felt more at home then in Denver. Dr. Dickenson requires you to stay in the area for about 5 days. His office gives you all the information on hotels used by other patience and we were really comfortable..we were even going to the movies on the 3 day. Best wishes on your surgery and please let me know if I can give you more information. Melissa
