Just how much hair loss are we talking about?
Hi and Welcome! Hair loss is different for everyone. It does grow back about 6 to 8 months after your surgery. This sounds like a long time but it flies. Also, I have been taking Biotin lately. Incredible results!!! At Wal-Mart you get 60 little pills for $1.33. They are 1000 mg and you take it three times a day. My mom and I saw a difference even after 48 hours of taking it. I'm sure results will vary but maybe try taking it now so maybe the now thinning part won't be as thin after surgery. Just a thought! Good luck in your research.

Well...like the previous post says...it's different for everyone. I lost about HALF of my hair. Yes...half. It was pretty scary since, like you, I was already thinning on top from stress and 2 pregnancies. However since we become so much healthier after surgery and take all these supplements (I too take Biotin but didn't experience any dramatic results) our hair should grow back just fine. Mine is growing beautifully...and to tell you the truth very few people even noticed I lost anything. It's a small price to pay compared to all the benefits we get from the surgery itself.
Hugs, Paola.
