How much pain? That is my main concern. Thanks.

I have to say that I think that it has a lot to do with what surgery you have. My pain was so minimal with my laproscopic procedure that I wondered if they really did anything in there. I used Morphine during the day of surgery, Vicadin during the day after, Tylenol the day after that and then nothing from then on out. I was out walking over a mile within five days of surgery. Now, I should also say that I had some friends from Kaiser that had surgery the same day as me and had quite a bit more pain. So as usual, I think the only answer is: it depends on the person. Good luck with your upcoming surgery, you won't believe the way that this surgery will change your life. You'll do great, you'll see! Paul 379/261/200

Congrats Carrie! I agree the pain from the lap surgery is pretty minimal, and they do give you pain pills just in case. I think it all depends on your attitude, but I too thought they just made some cuts and nothing more! I didn't feel different, but as time goes on and you begin eating you realize "yup, they really did do something more". I don't regret anything and would do it again in a heartbeat. funny.....people always said that to me, and here I am saying it....but it's true. Good Luck!!
