What did you eat yesterday?
You are about 5 weeks out, Right?
Seems to me, If I remember correctly, you should be on soft foods, egg beaters w/ with a little cheese, refried beans, Cottage cheese, stuff like that. Oh and don't forget the Protien shakes that we all love.

Well, since you're newly post-op, definitely take it easy when trying new things - and follow what your surgeon/nutritionist recommend! That being said, I totally know where you're at, as I started experimenting about the same time.
Here's my food from yesterday:
1) 6 oz. homemade chicken enchiladas with 3 tortilla chips
2) 1 cup sunflower seeds in the shell
3) 1 serving slim-a-bear ice cream bar
4) 5 oz. deli turkey
5) 2 oz. gouda cheese with 4 multi-grain crackers
6) 1/3 small apple
7) small handful of craisins
As yesterday was a weekend, I didn't do as well on the protein front as I do during the weekdays. If you'd like to see a standard weekday menu for me, visit my profile. I have something listed there.
When I was at your stage, some of the good stuff I ate included:
- Lots of grilled chicken with sauces (barbeque, italian, mustard)
- grilled shrimp with tabasco sauce
- chicken tortilla soup
- low fat cottage cheese with sliced green olives
- dried cherries
I always tried something new and then waited five minutes to see how it affected me. Then if it went down okay, I'd eat the rest of it over my half hour.
