Insurance for self employed???

I'm shopping for insurance and am self employed (realtor)..does anyone have any info on who will cover and who will not? Anthem? Blue Cross/Blue Shield? United Healthcare? PLEASE REPLY ASAP! THANKS ([email protected] or [email protected])

Hi there, Michelann - I'd suggest contacting the bariatric surgeon you're looking at, and then talk to his/her insurance coordinator - I bet they'd know who you'd have good luck with and who you wouldn't. I have BCBS of CA and they covered the surgery no problem. But I have heard of other Blues plans not covering it (i.e. BCBS of FL). So you definitely want to shop around to get the right plan for you. Good luck! Frances 313/162/150

I was referred to Chip who in an insurance broker. My friend uses him and I tryed to see what he could do for me. Unfortunately, I am not self-employed and was just looking for a policy to replace my insurance at work. He was sorry that he could not help me. You can always see what he has to offer.
