My Experience after surgery!!!

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the support and encouraging words. The surgery went really well, Dr. Chae is awesome!!! The hospital staff was great!!! I came home on Saturday evening and what a different world it is to me now. I never realized how many commercials are focused on FOOD!!!! It's horrible!! I didn't even notice before, it's no wonder we are eating ourselves to death. My first challenge was Halloween night, my daughter came in from the freezing cold and dumped her candy out on the table to go through for bad stuff (safety 1st) ~~~~~ oh how I wanted a Reese's cup! I could almost taste it in my mouth (isn't this sad)? I have since noticed that most of my eating was out of habbit or even the love of the taste of food. I realize as I see the things that temp me everyday that this surgery was the answer to my prayers.... If it hadn't been for knowing that I will have severe consequenses if I put one thing in my mouth, I would have failed already!!! I am having a hard time getting all of my liquid in, and I have this nagging cough, but for the most part I am doing really well. I can't remember ever being this weak, I'm so used to runing around like a chicken with my head cut off! I will be going to my 1 week post op apt on Friday, I will post my losses - hopefully several pounds. Thanks for listening everyone! Miranda

Hi Miranda, Glad that you are home, and you are doing well. I am still pre-op, and I am trying really hard to get sick of all the stuff that is bad for me, so I won't have the head hunger I hear people taking about. I think it is working I can barely stand candy, I hope this is a feeling that will last forever!!! LOL. I am scheduled for Nov. 26. I will pray that God helps you on your weight loss journey and that He helps you loose all the weight you need to loose. Take care, you will be in my prayers....Regina

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so glad that you are doing well. I noticed the same thing during commercials. Watch espn instead during commercials. all there commercials are about sports equiptment. Thats what I did. LOL!! Good luck with your 1 week post op appt. Head hunger will pass. You are right about eating out of habit. I was about 1 week out and my husband picked up mc Donalds for my kids because I wasn't in the mood to cook food I couldn't even eat anyway. LOL and without even thinking I picked up a chicken nugget took a big ole' bite chewed it and swallowed. Sat down and realized what I had done. OMG ths stomache spasms I had cured me from ever doing that again. I have never felt such pain in my life. and I have 3 kids. I had to make myself throw it up. I didn't even realize what I had done untill it was in my stomache. Korianne
