6-months out today
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to update you all. Today is my 6-month mark, and I am feeling wonderful, with so much energy. My hair has even stopped falling out finally!!! Now I can't wait for it to start growing back my husband is taller than I and he can see a balding spot on the top of my head. Sooooo attractive I'm sure.
I saw the Dr. on Friday for my post appendectomy check up/ ulcer check up/ 6-month check up. Nothing like knocking it out with one visit. He is very pleased with my progress on all fronts, and so far all my blood work is comming back fine. The nutrtitionist is also very pleased with my progress and thinks I am closer to my goal weight then I thought. Aparently skin weighs quite a bit and you have to add 20% to your ideal weight to account for the extra skin. So I had a goal weight of 130 and she thinks that I should get to 144 to account for the extra skin. I will have to see when I get there. I am also only 15lb from the amount that the surgery says I should loose from it like 65-70 % of the excess weight or something like that.
I also saw my endocrinologist yesterday and she is extreemly pleased and I go for my yearly full blood work up in November with her including the fasting blood test, she also has ordered a CBC just to be on the safe side. So we will see how that comes back. So all is well in my world.
I have also reached my mini goal of 85lb gone by my 6-month mark (had to be adjusted from the 100lb mark when I found out I am a slower loser) and I reached that this morning. I now weigh in at 179lb. Woo Hoo!!!
