Kris, Ultimately I think that it's inappropriate that I offer you advice as my surgery is still about four days away, but I have had plateaus in the past and I know how frustrating they can be. In fact, it is one of the areas that I knew I should try to do some thinking about before it happens. I found this quote from Poppa Hotrolls on his profile and I think that it may help you: I have a redbud tree in my front yard. I planted it 4 years ago. It has not done well in that location at all. Each year it would show a few blossoms, then put out a few leaves. When things got hot, the leaves would drop. Deep feeding and deep watering did not seem to help. This was the make or break year for this tree. This year I got 5 times the blossoms and now the tree is fully covered with foliage. Finally! The reason that this was happening was the tree was putting down roots. With limited resources, it decided that roots were more important than leaves and blossoms. Blossoms and leaves work for a time, but roots have way of being there forever. Some of you are in a place like my tree. You want soemthing to show for your pain and struggle. Nothing is happening. Nothing is showing. You wonder why did I do this to myself. Right now your body is doing what it has to do. Like my tree, you're putting down roots. The habits you develop now are not being revealed yet. But time makes all things known. Put down good roots now and you will have something to show for it later. Toss in the towel and all you get from this is a scar or two, a pile of bills, and wondering if you missed the last train out of town. Be patient. Don't flinch. Don't panic. Your time is coming.
