Well It has been a while. I had my surgery on the 10th and was released the next day. It was a breeze I had a biopsy that was worse. I had a fabuluos nurse helping me. I was tired but got around great. I was up and around on the 13th no pain no problem. I was craving food this day but pretty much ok. I resumed sex on this day and have continued every day since. I love the distraction. I have been 11 days without food. And Dr. T said I could move on to pureed at 10 days but said the weight loss would be greater if I wait until 14 so I will because I don't really want to eat. I went in for post op at 7 days and had lost 15 lbs. And so far NO problems. I am so surprised at how good I feel. One tidbit anyone getting this done when they give you oral pain meds ask for the Elixer it rocks compared to the ground up pills.

I'm so glad to hear that everything went well!!! I am getting a little nervous as my date gets closer and it is sure a comfort to hear when people have no problems! Thanks for keeping us up to date! Paul

Hi Kay, Glad you're doing well About the elixer... are you talking about the pain meds being available in liquid form??? My Dr. said that all the liquid forms of tylenol etc had too much sugar so we couldn't use them (dumping). Is this something new??? Do tell Michelle

The elixer I refer to is liquid vicodin and tylenol called hydrocodone it is in liquid form and Dr. T said it was fine in terms of sugar (in fact it was his suggestion) . I love this stuff I asked my primary care doc for some for menstral cramps and he gave it to me no probs also because it is in liquid form it doesn't have some of the side effects IE nausea etc.
