Psych Doctor for Evaluation in Denver or Colorado Springs?????

Who did you use for your psych eval? I called a doc here in Monument and he wants to charge me up to $500.00 for the eval and paperwork. I think this is a bit much! Thanks everyone, Miranda

Hi Miranda, Your best bet is to talk with Dr. T's office and ask who they can send you to that will take your ins... Eileen can help you out with that... I would call and ask her... Good Luck, Leslie

Hi Miranda!! It was so nice meeting you at our meeting on Sunday. I saw Barbara M. Hyatt. She's a licensed Clinical Social Worker, but my evaluation was excepted at Chae's office. Miranda, Dr. Tillquist's office gave me the name of my Psych eval Dr. He is Dr. Sam Amarato. He was GREAT! He accepted Cigna insurance, so he might take United, too. I only had to pay a $15 co-pay, and he had the eval paperwork to Eileen in just a few days. Ask Eileen if she knows if he accepts UHC. GOOD LUCK! Hugs, Susan

Miranda, Glad you are getting some use outta the sweater...I LOVED it! I actually got it this past spring from Michelle Tallon at another support group. I have a new one that I like. My surgeon is Dr. Johnell and I saw Dr. Howard in Greeley. It was $780 for the eval and the report he wrote - OUTRAGIOUS!!!! I had to pay $152 on the day of the appointment because I fought tooth and nail with my insurance to cover the remaining 80%. I was a pain in the butt!!! Your surgeon will usually refer you to who they want you to see. Hope your insurance covers it, they are very pricey!! Good Luck! Kelly
