DRY SKIN???

I have had very dry, very flaky skin all over my stomach area and around the incision (had open procedure). It has now spread over my breasts, even the nipple areas. It doesn't hurt. In some areas it looks like red marks like the skin is just spliting. Which I think is wierd, I would think this is something that would happen it the skin was stretching not shrinking or getting flabby. Sometimes gets a little itchy but not to the degree that I just want to rake my nails over the area. I put vitamin E on the incision scar and spread some extra over the dry areas at night. I take a shower in the morning and put some Nieva lotion over my stomach and breasts. It doesn't really seem to help though. Has anyone experienced this? Is it just temporary? Any suggestions? No probs anywhere else. Thanks, Staci

I'm itchy and dry still. Basically I just lotion 3-5 times a day. If it looks like it might be infected I would call your doc, but you will have skin issues for a while because you're now shrinking! I also use gold bond medicated lotion or ointment, it really knocks out the itch on my lower belly. Sarah
