First things first, do you have the nail out of the skin yet? Once you get that accomplished you should really boil it out with peroxide untill it quits fizzing. After that definatly use an antibiotic ointment and a bandaid several times a day. The best one I have found is Mycitriacin. It is a triple antibiotic, and has worked wonders on my kids and husbands owies. It is a little pricey but effective. Only use the peroxide that one time though, since it kills the good and bad bacterias. You wanna keep the good ones. Maybe your pcp can give you some strong antibiotics just too help out? I wish you luck! Let us know how it works out. CYA Michelle

Hey Kris, You can go to Walmart and buy Betadine... make sure your toenail is out and soak your foot in Betadine... It will kill anything... they use it to clean surgical surfaces on the skin... I had a really bad infection from a blister on the back of my heel... I soaked in Betadine and it really helped... If you cant find it at Walmart I know Sally's Beauty supplies carries it... Hope that helps.. hang in there... dont panic just yet... Will pray for ya... Leslie
