Korianne, I was worried about that too. Some women said they started in the hospital, even tho it wasn't quite time yet. Luckily, I finished just before I went in. My Dr's office just said to bring pads incase, cuz you can't use tampons while in the hospital. ... like we need ONE MORE THING to worry about, huh? Susan

Kori, I wish I could help you out on this one, but I had a historectomy when I was 22 from PCOS so I don't have to worry about that stuff any more. Much Love, Kris

You are going to do great. Just take some pads. I am a nurse and nurses could care less. We worry about all the important things like a good airway, and getting you up to walk and things like that. Don't be embarrassed the nurses knew you were a girl when you got there. Just let them know before surgery. They'll tell you what to do. Good luck on your upcoming surgery. Eileen
