Hi to all..and thank you for answering my eairler questions. I had my surgury on the 7th of june and I am doing well. will be 3 weeks on Monday and down 25lb.. Would like to know what food everyone was eating a 3wk post opp. I am eating some eggs, tuna, chicken, mashed potato. I do not like anything dairy except chees. I got a protein powder tonigh and will try it in the moring. I also bought biotin too and was wondering if I should crush the pill or try and take it whole. Have not taking any pills at all. Hi Jill, I was told that you really shouldnt take any pills that are larger than a peanut (out of the shell of course), and not to take anything that is extended release since you will usually need to crush your pills. Sorry I cant offer any eating advice, I am still pre-op. Cya Michelle

Hi Jill, Let me see... what was I eating at 3-weeks post? Seems like forever ago although it realy is'nt. Yogurt, Jello scrambled eggs applesauce (No sugar added of course) egg salad mashed potatoes mac and chz chewed realy well creamy soups mostly very soft food that I either did not have to chew or could chew the dickens out of. At that time I was also still crushing all my pills and disolving in juice. Yuck but it worked. Leslie

Jill, Hi! You had your surgery 2 days before me. I was on liquids for a full two weeks, then went to pureed foods. I am mostly living off of mashed potatoes and cottage cheese. I had a few bites of a mashed up banana the other day, but got full REALLY fast! I know that light yogurt is on the list for the pureed diet, but I can't stand yogurt, so I haven't tried it. I got a pintos and cheese from Taco Bell yesterday... only the beans were not all mushed up, so I had to chew really well, and spit out some of the skins. Tasted like HEAVEN tho! The little 89cent cup lasted me 3 meals too...lol TOO FUNNY! I used to eat easily $20 worth of fast food a week. I am not going onto the "soft food" phase for another week and 1/2, per my nutritionist's guidelines. I am looking forward to tuna salad, egg salad, ect tho! I was going to get no-sugar-added applesauce the other day, but decided that had too many calories. Tomato juice has been yummy, tho I cannot drink more than a couple of sips, until I feel full. I had never bought tomato juice before - only drank it on airplanes (I'm weird, I know ) but I thought since it is the consistancy of cream soup It would be ok. Only 45 caloried per 8 oz serving, and I am drinking maybe 1.5 oz. Anyway...there's my diet. I am down 29 lbs so far! Hugs, Susan
