Also how can I wean myself off of coffee? and caffiene(sp??) I am so not a morning person and once or twice a week I have a cup of coffee from Starbucks, I want to start now so taht I don't have withdrawls later. Any advice you have would be great!! Much Love, Kris

you can take cold medicine as long as it doesn't have nsaids in it. asprin and stuff. childrens chewable are the least likely to give you little ulcers which could result in postponing your surgery.. u might have to take like 8 of em. As far as the caffien (sp) I would quit cold turkey and never look back, just warn people about the morning crabbiness. LOL I have never been a coffe drinker, however, quitting carbonated beverages was hell for me. Love my soda during the day and my beer or two every once in awhile. I just said today is the day I stop, and I stopped. I have my coworkers support. they would never let me get away with a soda... I love em. Ps. Kristen.. I don't know how to add you as my angel?? let me know how.. I am computer stupid. Korianne (anxious) (8 days and counting)

Hi Kris, I don't know what to tell you about the cold except maybe load up on vitamin C, drink LOTS of fluids, and check with your dr about taking something for any stuffiness to keep it from draining into the back of your throat and giving you a sore throat along with the cold. Now the caffein withdrawl I do have experience with I kicked the habit too and I am soooo glad I did. It took me a full week and I felt awful -- headaches like you wouldn't believe. One thing that helps me is having an alternative to drink. I like the Sugar Free French Vanilla Cream from Starbuck's. Last night I tried a decaf mocha for the first time ever. It was ok but I think I'll stick to the SFFVC. Also go ahead and take a nap if you need it -- take care of you. Warn your family ahead of time and don't forget to apologize when you bite their heads off. I chose to give up caffein when hubby was out of town so he wouldn't have to suffer with me. And take heart, if I can kick it in a week then it shouldn't be so bad for you Michelle

Kori, I think that if you go onto your profile and click on the surgery cards to read, you can select to put in an angel. Thank you for your advice, No more coffee or caffeine for me. I am still drinking my 2 (1.5L) of water a day but I want to drink only that now. Are you getting excited for your surgery? I know that I am, I jsut hate the waiting game. Hope that everyone has a great day!! Much Love, Kris
