Dr Snyder patients
I was told by some of Dr Snyders staff that there will be a test at my 1 week pre op appt with Dr Snyder. She said it was a tor F test, but I am stressed out about it.. Has anyone taken the Test and can tell me what to expect. I am really well informed and educated on the subject thanks to His dietician and you guys LOL but I am still nervous..

Don't stress about it. I have taken the "test", it is true/false. Basically it is his way of evaluating your understanding of the procedure you will be undergoing, changes in lifestyle and your future. He goes over your answers with you in your office and you can discuss them with you or get clarifying information if you need it.
I didn't get a hundred percent right on the test, but depending on how you read the questions, you could choose different than what he expects. We had a wonderful conversation about some of my answers and their basis. Don't be afraid...this is another baby step you are taking toward your future.
I had my surgery on March 2, 2004. I'm doing well, there have been some bumps, but I am o.k.

LOL!! It is so funny that I was worried about the t and F test..
Pre op appt went fine. Hospital pre regf and pre op lab tests an EKG were normal, or so I was told not to worry by the ekg lady, she couldn't discuss the report. lol which is normal. Dr Snyder gave me the iodine wash and the rx's for my post surgery drugs woo hoo ... . Forgot that I was supposed to ask him about proximal, medial or distal.. Oh well, I will talk to him about it later. 7 days to go... WOO HOO HOO HOO

YOU GO GIRL!
Its well worth everything you will go through. My surgery was on
4/26/04 and one of the strangest feelings was to see a commercial for
McDonalds and in your mind think the hamburger looked good only to find that it didn't sound good to you afterall. I have also found that some foods just don't taste the same. There are alot of adjustments but hang in there. The first month is the hardest.
GOOD LUCK!!
