Hello everyone!! I have recently moved to Colorado and had my Lap RNY on April 5th, 2004. I feel like the opening to my pouch maybe narrowing as I feel sick to my stomach about 90% of the time. It also hurts under my right ribs. I am looking for a good surgeon that will take over the follow ups on me. I know most surgeons won't touch anyone elses work, however it might be that I need an endoscopy to check things out. I would appreciate any information anyone can give me in the Colorado Springs area. I am having an ultra sound tomorrow morning as I can not stand this pain and sick feeling any longer. Thank you in advance for your help!! God bless, Dodie

Welcome to CO by the way....I live inGreeley (northern part of the state), and my surgeon is Dr. Johnell. He is very adamint about taking on patients who have been elsewhere. He looks forward to it. I have heard horror stories about new patients coming to him that blood work, or follow up visits were never done. He gets so mad at that. So I know he would be happy to see and take care of. It just all depends on what part of the state you live in, and if there is a long drive involved or not. Hopefully you will get more post if you are not close to Greeley. Good luck. LaWanda

There are two doctors in the springs who perform surgery fidoric probable spelled wrong they work out of penrose hospital. I had my surgery done in Denver even though I live in springs as my insurance wasn't accepted by fidoric. There is a support group that meets at Penrose Main Hospital on the 2nd and 4th fridays of the month at 6 pm. If you would like to come some of them might be able to help you. I hope this helps and wish you luck. If you can't get either of them to look at you you could try the Dr. I go to in Denver he is Dr. Frank Chae. I don't know what his stance is on other peoples clients or I would just send you there.

Hey there, Dodie - Yep, check with Drs. Fedorak or Fisher from Colorado Springs Surgical Associates. The Penrose support group is supported by their organization and they are both very experienced with RNY. The office phone number is 719-635-2501 and they're based out of Penrose on Nevada and E. Jackson. Good luck to you - I hope you get this taken care of ASAP! (If it hasn't been taken care of already!) Frances
