Support
Hello Everyone. My name is Kori Phillips. I am from Thornton Colorado and I am Done with all the hoop jumpin and am having surgery with Dr Snyder at St anthony's North Hospital 06/30/04 at 10:00 am. I was referred to this site by Dr Snyder himself (isn't he a great guy) and was just looking for some support from those of you who have had surgery and have had complications or no complications. I guess I need to know what to expect. I have read the complications forum and everything. I am very nervous and scared, yet excited. have 8 year old twins and a 3 year old and am feeling a little selfish as well. I also have some questions about pre surgery diet and post surgery diet. what is the average recovery time.... HEELLLP MEEEE!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Way to go girl!! I am still pre-op. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and thoughts. Do you have an angel? If not I would be willing to to be your angel. Just let me know. [email protected]
Have a great day and weekend!!!
Much Love,
Kris
An angel checks on you while you are in the hospital, and reports back here to let everyone know how oyu are doing. I know that I can not be there for your surgery but I can come down after work and help any way that I can. I am having surgery with Dr. Frank Chae and I have to still do my nutrition class and then wait. you can email me any time and I will give you my cell number.

Thank You Frances for replying. I was reading your personal comments page and I am so excited for you. I can't wait as well to see the real me come out. I was just looking for some general info... as I am very nervous..So how long was your recovery before you could go back to work? What is your diet like now, 41/2 mo's later? Did you have any complications? I appreciate everyones support you guys are amazing..
Hello Korianne,
I wanted to share with you a group that several of Dr. Snyders patients use.. Most all the girls and guys are in the denver area. So it would be possable for them to answer any questions that you might have per op or even post op.. there are some of the members there that are about 3 years post op some are a few months and even a few are still per op.. lol
But a Warning is that they are a VERY chatty group..lol So most of us go to the web pages to read sence it is a normal week day to have around 300 post a day.. lol Anyway if any of you might be interested in joining them and getting to know them just join in and have a lot of chatting.. lol They not only talk about WLS, they talk openly about life and children in general..VERY open group..

Hey Kori!
First of all I have to say please do NOT feel selfish about this life altering decision you have made, it will not only benefit YOU but your little ones! Your quality of life will be SO much improved! I am a post op and 10 weeks today, yay! I have been very fortunate to not have any major complications *knock on wood* and I feel so wonderful
Im down now about 58 pounds and just have so much more energy for MY 3 little ones... So, take it easy, try to relax and be positive ~ You WILL be ok and your life WILL become so much more than you ever thought possible!
Hugs!
Judith
Congratulations, Korianne!!!
Glad it's all come together for you. Please don't feel selfish. You're not only doing a good thing for you, but for those you love, too. I'm pre-op and still gearing up for submission to Cigna, so I can't help too much with advice. Hang in there and have positive thoughts!!
Congrats, again.
Ron
PS - who do you have insurance with, if you don't mind my asking?
