Ok so I have been wondering if it is sensible or morbid to do a will before the operation. I have a 7 year old and am single I am affraid something will happen to me and he will have to live with his dad. His dad and I agree (at least to my face he does) that having my son is a terrible idea given his cir****tances. I was going to do a will on my own and have it notorized I don't have much in terms of stuff but my baby is soo important what do y'all think?

Not at all, it's called being a responsible person. I've also read that some people choose to write letters to their loved ones in the event they die. As someone whose mother died when I was 6 years old, I can say without hesitation that I would have cherished a letter from my mother telling me how much she loved me. Michelle

Kay, I agree with Michelle...specially if you are a single mom. Take care of what needs to be taken care of, as I'm sure you already do. It is a very smart decision to make a will...and write a letter. Hugs, Paola

Hi Kay!!!! I don't think its morbid at all. With the cir****tances of your single mom status, i would definately do it.I live and work in Thornton and my boss will noterize it for free for you.. just a few questions for ya..Which surgeon are you seeing? When is your date are you excited, and are you having the same selfish feeling as i . Worrying about leaving your children possibly motherless?? Do you do support groups?? Do they still have em up north ?? I would love to continue to chat with ya, for some moral support...

I did a will and a living will in case there are issues with life support. I did mine online through legalzoom.com It is inexpensive. You still have to get three witnesses and the will notorized. I think it will be legit. One of OJ Simpsons lawyars, I think it was Schapiro helped open this up, but I don't think he has any day to day dealings in the operation. And, it is not morbid, it is just preparing for the worst while expecting the best. You know what I think is morbid, and no offense of course if you have done this, but reading the memorials pages on this site, before surgery. I hear people say they do it and I just don't know why. Good luck!!!!!!!1
