Just got back from Dr. Chea's
Well the mystery is solved.
I have an ulcer in my poor little pouchie! To top it off the ulcer does not want to heal as my pouchie has also started to over produce stomach acid ouch!
So he put me on pepic for the next 6 weeks and mylanta for the embarasing burping that I have been dealing with due to the acid.
If this is the only set back I have from this surgery than I am still ahead of the game and happy.

The Dr. said that it could have been caused by stress. Which I have had an unusally large amount of lately. Grandmother had massive stroke and died 2 weeks after surgery. Father had heart attack earlier in the year and wound up with him in the emgerency room 2 days before I was to come home from the funeral. My surgery and recovery. Family fighting like cats and dogs a lot lately. You know the usual stuff.

Dodie,
I started to feel burning in my pouch and it was made worse when I would eat cheese, and milk products other than yogurt. I was nausous all the time and did not want to eat. I was burping constantly. It also felt a little better if I ate bread products. Dr. Chea said it was because they would coat the ulcer for a short while and it would feel better. Even water burned. It pretty much sucked!!
