Ugh... The Nausea!
Hey everyone, just thought I would get some ideas and opinions before I see my doctor this Thursday... Seems like everything I eat is giving me nausea. I am trying to take small bites, chew very well and then I swallow little bits at a time in my mouth so I dont think I am eating too big of things. Also, I feel this way after the first bite, so I know it's not that I am eating too much... Did anyone else experience this with food? The nausea goes away about 30 minutes to an hour after I eat, so I am just wondering if my stomach is just agitated? Like I said, it happens with just about EVERYTHING I have tried and sometimes I just give up eating after the first bite because I would rather not eat then feel icky for an hour... Any ideas or thoughts would be terrific (oh just so you know, I am on the trial and error diet but Im not eating things that are fried, fattening or spicy).
Thank you!
Judith
Judith,
For the last week I have been having the same problem. It finally seemed to clear up today. I dont know how long you have been having this problem but I would definetly mention it to the Dr. at least on Thursday, maybe he/she can give you something you can take to sooth your stomach. Good luck and let us know how your appointment goes.

Hi Judith
I am 1 year post-op. I still have that problem now and then. Sometimes our pouches just are more sensitive then others. I had two weeks where it was so uncomfortable, spoke with Dr. T & CJ. Dr. T. suspected that I had eaten something and it was just taking longer than usual to pass through the stoma. During these times, just try to get in your protein, via a shake, etc. no reason to pu**** but as always if you are truly concerned, as they say.. contact your physician. Cheri
