Odd Question..

I have an odd question for y'all. I am researching 2 different surgeons and I would like your imput into both doctors. The doctors are Dr. Thomas Brown here in Denver and the other is Dr. Johnell in Greeley. If you have some input about either of these doctors or a different doctor that is covered by Anthem BCBS Blue preferred, I am all eyes and ears. Thanks!! Kris

Kristin, I went to Dr. Brown's information meeting. Every one was very helpful and nice. The only problem was that he does not work with any insurence. You have to submit the bills to your insurence as out of network coverage. I also have BCBS. I am not familiar with Dr. Johnell. I had my surgery preformed by Dr. Chea. He was wonderful and I have had no complications and had very minimal pain after surgery. I had my surgery at University hospital but as of June he will be the new head of the gastrointerology department at the new hospital in Parker. As soon as my insurence approved me I was in surgery the next monday. If you need more info about Dr. Chea just let me know. I don't have any information on the two doctors you mentioned, however I have Anthem BCBS Blue Preferred PPO and I used Northern Colorado Surgical Associates in Fort Collins. They were great! The insurance sent back the approval the same day it was submitted. Dr. Dickenson was awesome.

This is my 2nd try--so hopefully you will get this. I loved Dr. Johnell. He has a whole program to help you, and his staff is great. Good luck on your surgery choices. Eileen
